I just bought the white hatch. As if one were not enough.....



We'll begin with the new white hatch. I bought this last week for 800 dollars! Mods include DOHC ZC swap, "lightspeed" header, Greddy SP catback exhaust, ACT clutch, "maxspeed" coilovers, a FPR and FP gauge and possibly a short throw shifter (throw seems pretty short). It has no hood, no radiator, a smashed windshield and some damage to the A-pillar and radiator support. Did I mention the paint's new? Definitely seems worth $800.

And the bulk of the damage.... I just couldn't resist trying to pull under the mack truck.... I guess the warnings in fast and furious aren't emphasized on enough (no, actually the previous owner was cut off by a Fed Ex truck, almost literally)

uhh, unless you've got some $$, or you're makin the white one into a convertible, that just seems to be a $$ place to get hit.

Na, radiator support, a-pillar, hood and radiator are all junkyard finds. Windshield is $150-$300 installed. If he knows how to weld or has any welder friends, he can get everything back together for less than $500 I bet. . .

 

^^Fortunately I do have some welder friends.

I'm considering fixing the white hatch up, swapping the b16a (and interior) from the blue hatch into it, and the zc from the white hatch into the blue hatch to sell the blue as a running car. The goal then would be to break even (basically getting a mint white paint job for free ) That's the goal, anyway. We'll see how things go.

any chance of selling or trading the blue one the way it sits?

 

I won't trade the b16a because I'm in the process of building it... but if you'd like, I'd trade the blue hatch with the zc (once we get it in tip-top shape) for.... well, what do you have? Let me know. We'll see... but I really like that car.

And how much would you be looking to give me for it as it sits?
