VTEC on Base RSX?
Ive been reading the RSX helms and cant find a definative answer - does the base RSX has vtec on both cams? Ive heard no, but dont understand why acura would digress from previous designs...
anyone?
anyone?
Here's a quote from my Acura RSX brochure:
"And the 160-hp RSX employs the 2-rocker VTEC system in which one of the two intak valves in each cylinder opens only partially at low engine speeds, swirling the incoming air/fuel mixture for more complete combustion. At higher speeds, both valves open fully for more rapid charging."
It goes on to say that the Type-S has a 3-rocker VTEC system... Hope this helps.

no, not really.. but ive read that.. thx..
gets me thinking though.. so only one intake valve opens on the primary lobe? damn im even more confused now. why would this be done? primary lobe power on base rsx must be even less than primary lobe on a gsr.. (yuck)
go figure..
