Default DIY amber lenses

i just painted some clear lenses amber yesterday. i think it looks good i painteed them with krylon staind glass paint yellow #9024 code should be by the bar code. it takes around 8 coats

the outside is painted and if you do this be patient it gets more amber every coat you put on

2 coats is a wicked yellow look

I like the clear look but thats just me.Very impressive job on the corners.I will have to do that to my DA soon cos I am selling it.

looks good, i never understand why people dont just use the orange krylon paint though(code 9023). I guess not every place carries it, looks like same result just fewer coats i guess. Props again on a nice job, watch for fading though ive had to repaint twice already.

now all you need for ya front end is 94 Type R lip it will look pimp with the bumper lens u painted.......they will compliment each other, keeping it real with the 94-97 look

i did the same thing to the horrible all clear tails that were on my car when i bought it... (only in red of course)..can't tell the difference between stock 98+ and mine

I never understood the fascination with amber lenses. I still think my car looks better with smoked clears.

you can get the paint at any MICHEAL'S crafts store

clear lenses look ricey on some colored cars black cars look good with smoked lenses

94goldjungsr im totally with you on that one they look orgazmic (really good)
that is why i posted this forum
for all integra lovers to enjoy!

ps if you use orange paint you get orange
if you use yellow paint with layers it looks amber

IMO clear looks better on a red car (at least yours)

Or black those out too? since your headlights look black .. and your on steelies

Xymox007 South central- where abouts in PA are you?? I see a black GSR running around in Newtown all the time with the "smoked" lenses. As for those of you hooked on this yellow-painted corner lights, I dont see the difference between STOCK amber lights, and the ones you made. They look yellow in the close-up but they look like stockers on your car. Dosent make any sense to me why you just dont go with your stock lenses if you like the amber look.
