Suspension - What to go with???
I have just started my quest for a better suspension and i have no idea what to go with. it would help me if you guys could give me some advice. i am pretty new to the honda-tech forums. i have a 93 honda civic hatch CX. i just wanted to know what kinda suspensions you guys have on them. For now i am not looking into crazy crazy like n1 stuff, just like simple yet effective set ups. so what do you think about these?
1) Skunk 2 race springs with tokico blue color shocks.
2) Tein basic street damper
uhm, what other companies make linear springs with pretty decent spring rates?? and for strut tower bars and sways, input there would be greatly appreciated. thanks for the help if any.

Start with Koni yellows if you want the flexibility to go with either mild spring setups or ultra stiff "race" oriented springs. That way if you decide you do want a "crazy n1" type suspension in the future, you just swap in some stiffer springs. The Koni's seem well established, and I have yet to see or hear of any problems with them using "sport" springs, "race" springs or any other.
If you just want to have a nice sporty setup for the street, one of the many entry level coilover kits might be a good choice, just set it and forget it. I opted for the APEXi WS, but now thinking ahead, I may want something more aggressive if I get into auto-x.

had koni yellows and eiback pro kit on my integra and i loved em! man i miss that setup! now i have Apex'1 N1 coiovers on my civic but i have no idea how they are since it is just a rolling chasis until my motor is ready to go in!
mmmmmm. damn. so many choices....gahhhh. do you guys know where to find the spring rates on the springs out on the market rite now? cuz im wanting to go auto x or road racing soon and get some practice in. do you think the KYB AGX adj shocks with H&R race springs its an ok setup? coupled with some struts and sways stuff like that.??? one last thing...any opinions on Skunk2 stuff? thanks.
Koni and Eibach/Ground Control.
I think most of the "race" springs out there actually lower the vehicle too much. It`s more of a marketing gimmick.

Wow... looks like you want real performance and not just a lowered car. Before you look at spring rates on springs that are on the market, do some research and talk to some auto-x's. Once you find the rates you want look to see if the markets rate come close and if not get custom rate springs. If you have the $$ Koni yellows are the best ( IMO ). Skunk2 stuff is good.

AGX's/Teins or Koni Yellows/GC if you wanna slam er'. Full coil overs are nice as well, all depends on what you wanna spend. Really high dollar, 'track car' coil overs would probably be overkill for you as of now. JMO.
mmmm. icic. i went to the apexi garage sale and picked up the "World Sport N1 Dampers" wut is says on the box. so im gonna try that out. Anybody have this suspension on their EGG??? does anybody have the spring rates for these?
thanks
thanks
