Default Side marker install

Can someone explain the process of JDM side marker installation on a 5th gen 96ex sedan. I would like a body shop to do this but I don't know what lengths they will need to take. Thanks

no, it wouldn't be the same, we're talking about the sidemarkers, not the rear side markers, the one's on the front fenders...

and we don't need dimentions of the actuall lamp, we need measurements of where to cut out a hole for them, or the exact center of they're location

I dont understand going to such lengths as changing all your bulbs from amber to clear and then drilling holes in the side of your car to put in amber lenses...strange. Is it an identity crisis for the car? I mean its a usdm that wants to be jdm, is that correct? Oh well I guess Im too old and out of the loop these days.

No one asked for opinions. Here's a helpful post for the one who asked the question.

All you have to do is drill/dremel into your fender and pop these in. With wiring all you do is splice into your binker wire and groud. Becareful not to warp the metal because fenders are thin and dentable.

Because most of us don't care about those kinds of things and spend our money elsewhere.

last time i checked, sidemarkers served a purpose to alert people on your sides that you're signaling. helloooooooooooooo there! *knocK*

some hints for you guys, double check all measurements before drilling, mark it with a marker and then mask the surrounding with masking tape.

dremel it out, if you using a drill, dont set it up hi speed mode, the drill we used at the shop will pull the metal out of the fender like skin off your legs.

always cut a small opening frist, you can always enlarge it later, if you cutted a **** sized hole, you are kinda screwed.

I am not gonna debate over the jdm thing..

here some picture of the REAL jdm side marker on REAL jdm car in asia, i took those pic myself so yeah..

I did'nt see this topic arise yet, so thanks for all the info, expecially DIYaccord for helping out. I was formally known as "WASARIP" (I started this thread) but allays for the second time my member name was deleted and I had to come up with a third. Anyone know why this keeps happening? Moderators will not talk to me

depends on how you wire them. its up to you i suppose, you can wire them to ur blinkers or your parking lights.

howd you wire the sidemarkers, did you just series/parallel to the park light? what happens when park lights are on and you switch on the turn signals do they blink faster or alternate?

I wired them up to the blinking light in the corner marker. They work like this:

Lights on = sidemarkers on
Hazards without the lights on = all blink at the same time
Hazards with lights on = side markers blink opposite of the front and rear lights
turn signal = side marker blinks opposite of the front and rear lights

Looks ******* clean, I never roll around with out my sidemarkers on

damn dude! thats nice! unfortunately my wiring is f#ckg messed up by the prev owner
dont wanna risk it getting worse. right now even with the bumper, sidemarker and tails blinking, it blink 2-3x the normal blinking rate (with or without the park lights on)
