This is the main reason I don't have cable even though we can get it now to me it's not worth hassel. Just get directv because for around 42 bucks you get around 150 channels...all your normal stuff and then some plus like 30-40 channels of just sports which includes SV.

Also whats great about directv if you want the works you can get it for around 82 bucks a month with over 250 channels..I believe close to 300. Also even if you just get the reg channels Directv normally adds new channel or two every 2-3 months. This month they had 6 more channels free of charge
Also I believe if you sign up now you can get 6 months free of subscribtions.
And now since they have Tivo and Microsoft built in HD's not to mention new WINK technolgy lets you basically see a commerical on tv and click on it get more info on it and also allows you to buy right then and there..not to mention with new directway dish you can get sending and recieving at 400k digital internet or DSL through directv...I believe cable is on it's way out as even business's are now dumping cable for the cheaper services through directv. Oh yeah for the sports fans they have all this crazy NFL, NHL, Soccer, ESPN college football, and MLB packages that allow you watch every sporting event out there..sometimes you even get them free...but thats normally at the end of the season.

Also the dishes always seem to work and never die I've had mine since 96' and it's still going strong.

Well true.........but since I only pay $20 minimum service fee plus $40 for my cable modem service.
I am simply using their exsisting cable conncetion and hook up to my scrambler.....now I have all channcels, HBO, Cinemax, .......and yes, all adult and pay-per-view channels........FREE!!!
Muahahahaha.........does directtv gives you free **** and all the tight *** boxing matches?

It does if you run ana emulator or bootstrap/test card. You end up with well over 50 PPV channels, all HBOs Cinemaxes and movie channels you thought there were and all football games all the time, or any sport for that matter(no blackouts). And you don't even have to order/pay for basic installation.

Anyone know where one could get one of these scrambler/descrambler things in the Toronto area? Rogers digital cable can rot in hell as far as I am concerned.

NASCAR Blows Goats for Quarters

BTW I have the Direct TV and Dish Network systems
Dish - For Local east and West coast channels (which I'm Not supposed to have)
Direct TV for Everything Else
But With all those channels I still wont get to see any good racing now

I caught some NASCAR tech program on speedvision when i was back home, they were talking about brakes...it was the most completely inane program i've ever seen in my life....went something like this: "And how do these brakes differ from the ones on the family car?" "Well, you can see here that they're much bigger. They're thicker, and also bigger around, which means they're bigger. And they get really, really hot."

I started crying...
