Default H22A Swap

Ive come across an opportunity to pick up a 97 SH motor, tranny, and ecu for VERY cheap. my question is should i go through the effort of that particular swap or look into other options? I have a 94 gsr w/ 115k on it. the engine still feels ok but im not very confident with it and i think the tranny is screwed up somehow. So for those reasons im looking to get a new engine and tranny. I drag on occasion but for the most part i want to get into autoX. If i did decide to go with the H22 what would i need to do to make it work and what are the drawbacks. thanks in advance.

Ryan

Im not positive its an SH but i know its a 97 prelude motor. why shouldnt i do it? what about a 93-96 lude motor? if i swap in a newer GSR motor do i have to use OBDII or are there ways around it?

I sell the HCP Engineering mount kits for that EXACT swap, (94 up Integra H swap mounts) The benefits are obvious if you drag, the motor will perform like a beast in your car. People hype on the weight issue, but the difference between a B and H series in terms of weight is not that big of a deal. Make your suspension stiffer, buy my mount kit, get girls and rule the world

Hey man whats up. I did a Jap spec Type S swap in my 2000 Teg and holy **** its a ****** bear. It screams and the torque is incredable. I also only do drag. For auto cross the H22A would not be good because it takes away from your handling. If you do the H22 swap you have to do your suspension with all new bushings, springs, and struts. If thats what you wanna do then go for it, if not I have a motor, trans, and a ECU from my 2000 Teg that I'm selling. It has 30,000 original miles and never had a prob. It has a Skunk2 intake manifold, stage 4 clutch, lightend 9lbs flywheel(both clutch and flywheel have under 1000 miles), DC 4-1 header and the ECU is from a ITR 97-98. If your interested let me know.
