pry it softly with flat screw driver all the way around. Probably you need 2 or 3 screwdrivers.

if you have a 5th gen honda uses hondabond instead of a rubber gasket

it REALLY makes it a BITCH to take off

you got to carefully pry

take a screw driver and a hammer and hammer the screwdriver carefully inbetween the pan and the block

Once it starts to come off, then it is easy after that

Have fun spending like a hour with a gasket scraper getting all the old honda bond off

Cheap *** honda...

Make sure the flywheel cover and everything else is not in the way.

After making sure that EVERYTHING is clear, start prying and pouding until it starts coming loose. There is no easy way about it.

and be extra careful not to crack it b/c it is made from cast aluminum, which can make it easy to break

a good trick some people do is to use a magnet to attract and drag the nut to the drain hole. Most mechanics wouldnt even bother to take off the pan to get the nut out they would just leave it there
