Default B18B/VTEC/Turbo - problems w/ vtec engaging

sup ya'll

well, my setup is a b18b/vtec/turbo in a 94' sol. i recently finished my car and it's been driving decently but i've noticed that i'm having problems w/ my vtec engaging. i looked at my autometer oil press gauge and oil press reads right between the "0" and "25" which i'm guessing it's like 12-15 psi. at about 3k it's at around 40. i'm running all my components off the oil sender into a 4-way tee. the line off the block is a -4 AN fitting and line into a 4-way tee. the head has a -6AN fitting and line. the turbo is fed through what i'm guessing is a -2 AN.

i've monitored the oil press. and as rpm is around the vtec crossover point (4.5K rpm) oil would drop to about 25-30 psi then back up to a little over 50 psi. i also noticed that under load, i can hear really noticable clicking sounds from the engine around 4.5 k when vtec is suppposed to engage. almost seems like the vtec hydraulic pins aren't fully engaging due to lack of oil press but i'm not really sure.

i wanted to first tackle the oil press problem but not really sure what i should to solve this. any suggestions?

do you have a b18b oil pump? and if so i think you have to use a b series vtec pump.

i would swicth over to a vtec oil pump and run your oil feed line for the turbo off your oil pump, Z10 sells a fitting so you can run a line off the oil pump to your turbo, Cause it seems you might be pulling to much oil from one source at once.

no, i'm using a gsr pump. i figured that the oil supply was the problem. i decided to just go and buy the sandwich adapter from GE. thanx for the replies!
