My girlfriend has a 97 hx coupe and when she puts the car in reverse, it squeals and almost grinds as it goes down the hill. Also, some turns, etc... does the same thing.

We checked the pads/rotors but they are in good shape. Any ideas?

 

same thing happen to me, but it was the brake pads......did u check the front AND possibly the rear shoe?....if u put it in reverse and start moving that is when my squeeling came. so double check again..
