Anyone know what the fastest accord in the world is? In terms of 1/4 and top speed.

Im sure thats plenty fast going around a track, but the only drag accord ive ever heard being very fast is a low 11 second or high 10 second one out on the west coast. I heard about it on Hondasociety a while ago

Sounds about right Misa. There was one in Long Island with a turbo H23 and a complete competition winning stereo running 12.5 with a full interior and everything. Thats my kind of accord.

I would just assume that since they can do so much to civics and make them hit the high 8's, and an Accord doesnt weigh all that much more than a civic, even a sedan, that someone would drop in a 3.2 V6 with forced induction and spray it making like 750 hp to hit the 8's with a top speed of 220 mph.

The specs of the PIAA Accord is the same as the Mugen/Castrol Accord.

a friend of mine bought my old 94 accord a while back......he now has a h22 and inline pro custom turbo kit. hopefully we'll have it at the track soon. it's gonna be a fast street accord. 15+ lbs of boost.

it puts the intake manifold, in this case the individual throttle bodies facing towards the front in stead of the firewall, b/c i beleive they worked the top center of the grill to feed the throttle bodies

 

You are absolutly right. There is an air box that hides the four individual throttle bodies and it does suck air from the grill. Also, another reason that the H22 is fliped around is the fact that since the exhaust maniflod is now on the back, the exhaust gasses have less distance to travel before they exit the exhaust system. Also, flipping the engine around will cause the engine to sit back further toward the firewall. This provides a better overall weight distribution for the car, thus making it a better handler on the track. Sweet huh?

They do in fact have a custom tranny. They are six speed sequential shift trannys that are made by Quaife. That is yet another reason they flip the motor.

Just a side note about flipping motors, if you look at Papadakis in his new Civic, you will see the motor sits sideways like a RWD Nissan I4 would. He too has a custom tranny to keep it FWD though.

The fastest Accord that I have seen record of to date runs low 12's.
