AEM CAI For JR SUPERcharger,..who has one???? HOW??
I've got a JR supercharger and need Cold air bad,..anyone have an AEM CAI on?How,..did you cut it to fit since the JR manifold sits farther then stock???PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
Jackson makes one, as weel as comptech. However the comptech one doesn't fit that well with the icebox attached. You kinda have to play with the fit.
For for a cold air setup, you either go for the comptech ice box or the AEM. However the AEM has to be cut and about 4" of piping has to be removed from the long section.
Side note, AEM intake's don't feel as good as a short ram IMO. The short ram to me feels a lot more responsive which makes sense because the charger doesn't want to have to suck hard for air.

Just like Captain "Igetthemostoutof5.5" says, the short ram is the way to go
Dont think because your manifold is 1000000 degrees that the CAI is gonna help the problem

Acutally I'm not at 5.5psi anymore! lol
But I will still say that I did get more power from my old 5.5psi setup then JR got from their crazy 8psi setup.
Currently I'm testing higher boost levels. As for power increase, its very small due to heat issues yet its still stronger and pulls header with the added boost. The main thing that I was going for was trq, and boy has it jumped nicely!
Anyway, water injection sucks! A friend had it on his 97 R along with the charger, etc... that was all installed by JR back in late 97. Around mid 00 he pulled the head to do a head gasket swap and noticed large amounts of rust, deposits, and stains on the head that came from the JR liquid injection. He ended up sending his head to portflow to get it cleaned up. If I were you stay away from that stuff.
