Default Type r rods and b16a pistons...

From what I understand non type r (b series) rods must be shaved 1mm on each side of the small end of the rod, in order to accept type r pistons. Because I will be using type r rods and b16a pistons, will I need to do any machine work for the extra 2mm of clearance?

If that didnt make any sense:

Can I use b16a pistons on type r rods without any machine work?

You should be able to. I don't see where there would be a problem.
