Default Max retard/advance on cams for h22?

I belive it was +2/-2 but wanted to double check. I know Dyno'ing is the only was to get them 100% right, but I figure I can street-tune them pretty well. I am trying to get a little low-end punch out of them....

retarding the exhaust will help in that department.....do you really need more low end with an h22a????

I had mine at -3 exhaust, 0 intake with the Crower Stage 2's. Retarding the exhaust helped out a ton.

Did you ever dyno to see the difference? Butt dyno?
What cam gears did you use that you were able to get to -3? I am pretty sure my AEMs adjust in 2* increments.....
Thanks for the reply though.......

WOW....an H22 Civic in Illinois.....I will have to watch out for you...

I've been to the dyno more times than I want to think about... LOL. I milled the head .020, put the cams in, and hit the dyno. I went from 185 to 200 whp that day. I think I gained around 5 hp just from retarding the exhaust. The intake didn't seem to change much. I have the STR cam gears. They have a VERY accurate way or adjusting them and IMO are the best.
