i recently installed a short pull starter on my snow blower (old cord broke so i disassembled the starter and re-wound the old cord, hence making it shorter)....now the damn thing wont start, and im guessing the carb is messed up of course it could be the spark plug which is old......the thing hasnt been started for nearly a year.....oh.....the oil might be really nasty too......im trying to bling this puppy out for SEMA '04.....anybody got anything to say j00s!

why dont you take the plug out and check it? that takes about 2 seconds, then pull the cord with the plug still plugged in, but not installed into the motor, and see if there is a spark at all.

check the carb after that
