Default JDM Conversion Costs

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much most body shops charge to paint and install a JDM front end... I live out in the middle of nowhere and there are no import shops around... Any info would be appreciated...
Thank you~

thats what im saying, i want one too for that price

it might be best to talk to someone on this board that did it themselves, maybe they can make a trip to help you do it for alot cheaper than the shop. i was quoted by a local shop that did a few conversions and they charge around 1k to do the install.

i know a buddy of mine about 2hrs away from me that is going to do it for me for about 200 bucks and a six pack.

headlight wiring=50 bucks at most
dings fixed=75 a ding , say you had 5-6 = around 450
trunk install=( 2 hrs labor?) 100
radiator support swap = 100
700 bucks total. Unless the paint job had about 30 coats of clearcoat, or they pulled the motor and interior for you and repainted the engine bay and interior, that's a little bit more than what should be expected.

I paid 1200 for install/paint/wiring of my jdm front end. Mase has a very good DIY on the jdm front end.

About $1500-1800 for Intsall, wiring, paint.
We usually charge about 1800 including all of the above and having everything wired up along with a set of our Headlight plugs so you can have an OEM plug to plug into your JDM lights instead of using Spade terminals. BTW We sell those seperate if anyones looking for them.

Also the guy who posted about doing his own front end conversion: There is an easier way of dealing with the Rad Support that comes out alot cleaner.

Just drill out the welds on the far right and left of the Top part as well as the brackets welded underneath near the insides of the headlights (Drill those out on the Rad Support not the top part) then Drill out the holes holding the center to the bottom of the Rad Support. Do the same to the JDM Rad Support so you can seperate the Top/Middle from it and weld it onto the car. Also drill out the welds on the Headlight Brackets on the JDM Rad Support and weld them to the USDM support in the appropriate place.

BTW Moved this to correct forum.

I can get a HID front end from a friend for $1500. I can't get a bunch of them for that cheap, just one. If I could get front ends for that cheap, I would be making huge profit. Anyways, thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll have a shop paint it for me and I'll do the install.

damn you guys are paying way too much for the ITR conv. front

my non hid front came used for 1700... install and wiring was 350

paint w/ blending of front doors would have been another 300 if I opted for it.. this is in so cali..so i guess it could be cheaper since there is so much shops around this area in competition with one another

but 2k for install and paint? thats rediculous

Install if yourself, I paid 1400 for the Conversion, and a painter to spray the front.
I put it on myself. Then wet-sanded, buffed, and finished the detail work for about 40 in materials. 1440 total for a complete JDM front end conversion painted and installed.

Save your self some cash, and do some learning in the process
