Default K24A 5th gear into ep3 tranny

Anyone tried swapping gears from the k24 tranny into the k20 tranny? Jut wondering, because I know that in the K20 you sit at around 4k at 75 mph or so and it is lower in the k24, just so those of us that drive a lot can get a bit better gas mileage. Just wondering.

trannies are not the same, I don't think they are since one is 4 wheel drive and they other isn't. Very expensive thing to test out. Not worth the 1-3 MPG savings.

I was thinking about the accord tranny, not the crv or element tranny, but even then both of those are available in fwd, but thanks for the response
