how many 20min track sessions on Victoracers??
With an open diff, less then -2 degress of camber up front, and a mild suspension setup, I would get 3-4 weekends out of an unshaved set of VV700s. This was in HPDE.
My set (purchased used) probably has 4 HPDE weekends (8 days) on them. I just put another weekend on them and will probably be able to use them for 2-3 more.
Admittedly, I'm not using them to their maximum potential yet. Then again, I just started using R compounds since I wanted more consistancy throughout the sessions @ HPDEs (Azenis greasy feel =
) .

They will be less likely to chunk and more consistent if you shave them. I have a feeling the Prelude is hard enough on fronts that chunking a concern (it was not a concern on my RX-7, but it only weighed 2500lbs loaded).
However, if you plan to use them in the rain, or are more worried about tread life than useful heatcycles, you can leave them unshaved.

I have never had any chunking with my 2600# GSR even on very abrasive tracks like Roebling and TGP. Back in my HPDE days, I never even heard of shaving tires.

I take it you are asking this because you are driving at the full potential of street tires? If you are not, then stick with streets. Just one opinion.

Imo it can vary depending on several factors such as whether they are shaved or unshaved, what the outside and track temperatures are, how hard you push them, what you alignment and camber is, how heavy the car is, etc.
Victoracers are very good track day tires from what people are saying, I just made the mistake of taking a new set of full tread V700s out on the track on a hot day and was not easy enough on them. After four 30 minute sessions (and pitting briefly every 10 mins) around road atlanta, this is what the tires looked like at the end of the day. Pic 1 Pic 2

Hmm, you may be on to something
-travis, who sometimes does go faster, but usually not in the right direction or at the right time
