Default Civic Type R wheels and offset

Hi All

Im getting a 2004 Civic Type R on Monday and it comes with 17 inch alloys
with 205/45/r17 tyres.

Thing is, I want to buy a second set of wheels and then get some winter tyres
maybe....Pirelli 205/45R17 88V WINTER 240 SNOWSPORT....unless anybody knows
of a better/cheaper snow tyre?

My main question is... all I want is a set of cheap-ish alloys for the winter. Do I need to know the `offset` of the wheels on the Civic or is the only data I need things like size of wheel and amount of studs?

Regards

Nigel
