Need Spark Plugs recommendation.. Are the OEM platinums the best?
I know the OEM spark plugs on the GS-R are good platinum parts.
Getting engine tuned up and wanted to get something really good to replace them with.
Already have 108,000 kms on the originals and the engine is not sounding too healthy.
Will probably change the plug wires too while i'm at it. Looking into gettin'either NGk or Magnacore 8.5 mm.
would appriciate any advice..
Also, if anyone knows where I could get a reasonable price I could appreciate the info.
thanx in advance

For a fairly stock engine, use a ZFR6F-11 in NGK-R copper.
If the engine is modified heavily, then go with a BKR7E-N11, copper as well.
The only thing with platinum plugs is they last longer.
Now I can tell you I gained a solid 1-2hp everywhere on the dyno by switching from OEM ITR plugs to the copper equivalent, but I am unsure of the fact that no two dyno runs are 100% exactly the same. For all I know that 1-2hp gain was from the air in the dyno shop lowering in temp. by 2 or 3 degrees.
Either way, copper plugs are cheap as hell. You're looking at like $3.00 a piec. MAX.

stay w/ OEM plugs. the platinum also the wires too. Both by NGK. also might as well change ur rotor and distributor cap too if they look worn. and change out ur fuel filter too
Thanx for the info guys...
Actually I was looking into Magnacor (spelling) wires with Bosch spark plugs..
It seems that NGK is the popular one with the H/A crowd.
What charge boosting systems? any use?
Thanx in advance.
