Default ls vtec with gsr oil cooler?

ok so here is the rundown. I am building up my lsvtec block with the golden eagle conversion kit. b18b bottom built, with gsr head. my friend gave me his blown 95 gsr block and im using it to piece together the missing parts from the bare block i built up. i started pulling out the cooling system on the block, and started to think that i could use the stock oil cooler on my ls block. the only thing that doesnt match up is this return hose where there is a tap on the back of the gsr block, but its not drilled and tapped on the ls block. I dont think i want to open up this hole, because i dont want to risk any damage to my newly installed sleeves. could i run this hose and splice it into some other line to send back the cooling system?

also if i was to use this oil cooler, it is roughly the same size as the ls/vtec sandwich plate, so the two put together is almost the same size as the oil filter, do you think i might have issues with the clearance between the oil filter and the firewall with the 2 added pieces? maybe if i figure out how to run everything, i might need to run an oil filter relocation kit.

gsr block shot a rod though the block...took a big *** bite out of the crank, 3 inch hole in the side of the block and about 1 inch chunk out of the sleeve. not really useable

is it simple, just drill and tap that line for the coolant and use the gsr coolant pipe.

Is there any way to avoid tapping into the block for the inlet to the cooler, perhaps teeing off one of the heater lines??

hes saying tap the water tube that connects your water pump to your thermostat. but i recomend taking the water tube from the gsr block when you take the oil cooler off. i dont think im going to use and oil cooler and my motor comes with one. just seems sloppy. maybe ill get a side mount.
