whats up everyone. i got a 2000 gsr and i was thinking about converting from my obd2 to obd1. does anyone here have experience with this conversion. what kind of problems can i expect if any after the conversion. i dont really want to sacrifice reliabity since my car is still kinda new. thanx for the help.

 

what do you have done to your car? if its still stock, just leave it alone until you want to run a different program other than the gsr program. lets see, ecu jumper-$250 and obd1 gsr ecu-$300 if you can find one. Thats the price of some ctr cams. but if you do have some serious engine work, its all plug and play.

 

i got all the regular **** i/h/e and i also got cams, cam gears and a vtec controller. my vtec controller fried my map sensor after a week and i havent turned it on since. when i inquired around i was told i would have no probs after i did the conversion. all i wanted to know was if i would have any other kind of probs after the conversion. my car was dope when the vtec controller worked. i miss it *sigh*

 

ya i say get the adapter harnes and the ecu..you will notice the car loves the new setup
