Default question on sway bars for g2 gsr

I know there are other post about sway bars but i want one for my praticular car.

i have been hearing type R sway bar cuz its 22m or suspension techniques...
what do you all recommend? and what other parts will i need? bushing? anything to reinforce? because of some cases where tearing was evident...

I've got the Suspension Techniques Sway bars on my 92 GS. Made a huge difference. I have heard good things about the progress bar (22mm) as well as the new ADDCO bars. Best of luck.

They are APC clear tails that are painted with VHT Translucent Red Paint (code 232). I also painted the cheap looking chrome trim flat black.

I went with suspension techniques bars (F/R) on my G2 LS and am satisfied. Just have to lube those damn bushings again. Oh and they come with everything you need. You use your stock endlinks and brackets with them.

Where's the best place to get Progress and ST products from? I heard b17a.com is having some problems.

TIA

I got mine from JC whitney when they had the sale for 172 shipped. You can still get it from them but 229.95 front and rear. I do belive they have free shipping for items worth $200+ but it might just be for the US.

don't know about progress.

I will tell you how the Progress bar (22mm) is as soon as I go to Columbus to install it.

I would stick with the above mentioned brands.

if you can get your hands on it i believe trust make a pretty beefy rear sway bar for the DA's... talking about it is one thing getting my grubby hands on one is another... alot of people have good experiences with ST and progressive so i'd probably go with that route

On my GSR I started with the stock rear Anti Sway bar 14.7mm, went to the automatic 4 door bar 15.9 mm, went to ST rear 19mm and I am now using the Progress 22mm bar. The progress bar out performs the ST bar in finish to stiffness except for its mounting and end link set up. The Progress bar fitment is much tighter at the exhaust bend over the rear control arm, be careful on what type of exhaust system you use. The mounting brackets must be carefully installed and reinforced. And the end links need to be replaced with adjustables to have a real good working system. One other thing, rear suspension droop is greatly restricted, so you will walking the dog in tight sweepers often if you Solo II with this set up. If you need more info let me know.

DB1-R81 - So does the DA8 come with a 15.9mm swaybar? Any welding required/recommended with the Progress bar? Any pics u could share with us? TIA

There was a member on g2ic who managed to fit the ITR bar on his DA. Required some heavy welding and custom mounts though.
