From time to time I post a nice race-video... I post it here because I know Type-R owners always enjoy.

64MB MTM Audi 200 onboard (see NSX and Skyline flying by) warm up lap Nurburgring Grand Prix and Green Hell

This guy is driving her so relaxed and smooth .... Feels good to watch.

 

Ill have to download this when I get home. Ill set off all the alarms for the network guys if I download that large of a file here. cant wait to see it!

I sure would like to see the 24h race in person sometime. Not this year, pehaps next.

I thought the ring is still closed... Yeah, I know the VTI vid.. But the VTI drove a tourist-driver lap on street tires...Ringers dislike what the driver did there..

The video I posted above is competition. Download, learn and enjoy. I`ve never seen somebody racing the ring that smoothly

What do you mean by that? outside overtaking the bikes? just before the karusel?

Big problems to keep the Ring open for tourists and street-cars (political pressure) ..... Too much accidents during the tourists days...

Driving pretty fast belongs to the competitions... Tourists days are for sightseeing.

Your right about that. This wasn't even his fastest lap. He was indeed TO fast. He killed his Vti at hatzenbach.....

I never drove this fast at the ring. And I will never do!

We must be very glad that a thing like the ring is still possible these days.
I hope this will be a safer year that the last one.......

The ring was open at 22 feb this year. Unofficial that is, but it was open for tourists.

I killed my ITR at Hatzenbach.

Hmmm, I didn't know there are separate tourist days at the Ring. How do you know when it's a tourist day or a normal day for streetcars?

Those are the tourists days... Ken, every day we met there had been a tourists day. That`s when the track is street legal and insurance covers..
We had double accidents from 2001 to 2002 and from 2002 to 2003 the accidents didn`t drop. So this year is the last chance... The drivers should take a lot of care or it will be the last year the ring is open for tourists drivers..
I don`t really care because I`m racing competitions there (GLP Rookie Cup 2004) if I like.

I hope this will never happen to me. But sometimes youv'e got bad luck even when your doing nothing wrong, its going wrong. To bad!
