Default header and o2?

ok im doing a b16 in my 91 hatch this weekend. well the problem is i got a greedy header with two o2 sencor bungs down by the cat. now if i have to extend the wire down to the new location then will this make my car run rich? do to the fact that the o2 is not at the stock location. they are usually 6 inches belowe the exhaust flang. and if it wont run rich then will the gauge of the wire that is going to the new location play a factor in how it reads?

if you got any thing for that then it would help out a bunch. i just dont want to weld two more bungs on the header if i dont have to. then i would have to find something to plug the existing ones! thanks joe

Most auto parts stores will have plugs for the O2 bungs. The car will run far better of the O2 sensor is up near the flange ans the 1st gen have unheated O2 sensors. For a 1st gen B16 (ODB0) you will have one O2 sensor reading output of 1 and 4 and the other reading 2 and 3. If your greedy header does not have them placed to se these and only these cylinders seperately. you will want to get 2 bungs welded or do a ODB1 conversion.

its alot better to have the 02 bungs in the right spot.

Take you header to a exhaust shop and have them weld something in, just tell them where you want them. And just get a plug, or a old sensor and screw it into the one by the cat.

Or...

You coudl send me your header, and ill send you my b16 one with the 02 sensors in the correct spot

I have a 4-1 I had O2 bungs welded 6 inches from the port on the two left side tubes. Since the PR3 and PW0 ecu controls 1 & 4 and 2 & 3 seperately getting an O2 on at least one of each pair will work. right at the junction point of a 4-2-1 however is optimum as factory intended

yes that is optimm placement for a 4-2-1 header. Hasport makes them like that plug and play. I have a 4-1 and no money to do a ODB1 conversion. So I had two bungs welded on my Stainless 4-1 Jun header

My car doesn't even have an o2 sensor hooked up, I have one blue wire and one black wire coming from the o2 sensor? Where do they go?? Not sure what ECU I've got, I know its some kind of rechipped B18 ECU.

I have a stock o2 bung in the JDM ITR 4-1 header down by the collector.

Anybody know where these wires go???

maybe your chip doesn't look for an o2 sensor...

No ECU codes or check engine lights... NO o2 sensor... Never heard of it before.
