Anybody racing at the Glen this weekend with EMRA? Todd?

I just reserved a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night with two beds if somebody wants to share. (FYI, Saturday is the time trial, Sunday is the race)

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be instructing for the TT, so if you want, you can request that I instruct for you. I LOVE that track!!!

Why not come up and instruct on Saturday and get two days out of it instead of one? I don't know what deal EMRA offers their instructors, but I'll let you know when I find out. So do you want that other bed in my hotel room? It will be like $35/night. Actually, did you ever pay me for the room at the last Summit race?

It is? Since when? I guess that is one less participant in the Honda Challenge races... What is going to replace it?

Yes, I paid, in cash, the night before we checked out. I always pay, in cash, before we leave. its my "MO".

don't think I can make it up for the TT. maybe, but looks like I have some family stuff.

If I get what I want for the Civic, I will use the money for an overhaul/rebuild on the Super Seven motor (plus "enhancements").

I'll probably pick up a broken down, blown up car that needs some work and rebuild it for door-to-door bashing next year....

speedracer33, I am gonna go and check it out, I have a lot of things to look into before I start the buildup of my 92 cx into a hybrid for trackdays, and it would be a good chance to chat with you and adamitr.
what day is best to see and talk with you two?
I am only an hour from the Glen, so its no big trouble, I gotta see you guys run it as well.

what time on sunday is the actual race? Like from when to when, just curious, as to when I would have to be there and leave...school work sucks. thx

 

Probably Sunday, though either day would be fine. Saturday is the time trial, so I might be instructing. Sunday I'll be around the whole time, apart from when I'm on the track. Besides, you will probably like watching the race.

races are supposed to start at 1:15. EMRA usually does 4 race groups - big bore, small bore, and two open wheel groups. So, expect the races to last until around 4.

Should be nice to have you guys in the area, and that is good news they do not start racing until after noon... its hard to get my friends up BEFORE noon on any Sunday... thats why it is alwasy just aLmoSt-vtec and I at the autox's, everyoine else sleeps in--->

There should be some northeast SE-R folks there, so please tell them I said hi. Specifically, maybe the #7 (or 47) black SSC '96 200SX SE-R driven by John Williamson and/or John Walsh. And probably a black '92 Sentra SE-R (DSP TT car) with white Volk TE37's driven by Jim Schumacher. Please fraternize with those folks if you have time - they are some great people.
