Advantage would be shorter gearing.

i know they have shorter gear ratio, but would that make it better for the 1/4mile?? if it depends on your setup then use my setup as an example. would you want shorter gearing w/n2o?

with shorter gearing, you will acclerate quicker. the idea drag racing gearing, for me at least, is right as you pass the finish line for your 1/4 mile times, you hit redline in your higest gear. and becasue of the shorter gears, you will wind up your motor quicker, therefore making your car quicker.

well in that case i would want longer gearing cause when i cross the finish line im in 4th for about a full sec but with shorter gears i would be in fourth for a while
