Default yellow to grey plug, can it be done?

How realistic is the idea of completely changing a 91 crx dx to OBD1 vtec? complete dash and engine harnesses. I have all the parts, and am willing to pop the dash out. Has anyone attempted/succeded with this transformation? Is it worth the time? I am trying to eliminate the crummy look of tapped and taped yellow plug harnesses. I know it seems like I am spending 40hrs to save ten minutes of wiring, but like I said I have all the parts already and my only cost would be my time. Thanks.

and it will take a long time. your going to rip out all the wiring in your car and replace it wiht a 92-95 harness? realize that it will be more messy becasue it was not dezined to fit.

a dude that i knew did this to his car (89 standard) it was such a cobbeled mess. no cover for stering colm cus of the signals and such. no spedo cuz 92-95 has electronic speedo and u have to use cable tranny. it was more work than it is worth. just spend the 150 for the obd0-obd1 conversion ecu adapter. my car is running with that. looks way cleaner than the other dudes car.
