Default supercharger question

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I have a 99 SS Prelude, and I want to get the jrsc supercharger. Are there any SS Luders here that have a supercharger? Also, can you tell me what upgrades you have done to your Lude as well? Thanks everyone!

if you do, MAKE sure you have an extended warranty on the trans. Another reason, i went N/A. Good luck at whichever approach you take.

I seriously doubt any warranty on the tranny would be honored if a JRSC was installed on the car before transmission problems developed.

Hey sharkcohen I have a few questions for you.. you seem to know what your talking about.

Im considering doing S/C over turbo. 9PSI sounds decent for a supercharger... Did u get the pulley to up the boost?

Also--- I head this **** about Breaking belts(or replacing) Every 6K... whats the deal with that? Is replaceing the belt too hard?

As for 5gluder. SWAP to a 5spd. Im doing my swap this weekend. I already have my new clutch and brake pedals mounted up, so now its a matter of putting it in. After various part shopping. I Have 700 invested in the whole setup. I lucked out on getting the JDM 5spd froms omeone who simply didnt want it and was doing a motorswap.

i worked at a car dealership if you blew your trans take the charger and anything that makes the car look raced off. and it will be covered under warranty..intakes exhaust etc its fine...lots of work to take the charger off but hey its better than $2000 bucks to fix ur trans!

Yes, changing a pulley is the only way to up the boost. I'm using a larger passenger-side jackshaft pulley.

The belt that drives the blower is a very small belt, so it is prone to wearing out very quickly and can fail in as little as 5k miles or less, especially if it is too loose or too tight. I recommend using the Goodyear Gatorback belts. They last longer and are less prone to slippage. I've been on the same (and first) Gatorback blower belt for the last 10k miles, and counting. It is showing signs of wear and will probably break soon.
