I Hear All The Time People Saying Engine Swap, Does This Mean They Replace The Whole Engine? Or Use Some Parts From The Old - If That Is The Case Is IT Better To Put an H22 in My 1994 Accord LX or Put an H22 in a 1994 Accord EX-R??

But Are There Any Major Components Used From The Old Engine, Transmission, Or ECU?? Are There Any Other Major Components Used From The Old Setup Besides Suspension.

 

So Are There Any Major Differences In an EX-R compared to the LX-Coupe?? Besides Engine??

 

If your asking these kind of questions you dont need to be doing an engine swap, quite yet..

 

I'm Not Doing The Swap Myself....i'm trying to figure things out about the swap

 

the most very basic things you need to complete the swap are just the engine "shortblock" (complete motor, wiring harnesses, distributor, accesories etc), you will need the driver's side motor mount from a prelude, you will need the wiring harness from your original motor, and finally the ecu from the prelude, which is the p13...

the suspension, transmission, axles etc will bolt up and work with that motor...but again, that is the very basic swap...you can get the complete swap which will include transmission and axles and all that for a little more...
