89 CRX SI..... OBD0?? OBD1??? WHAT ENGINES WILL FIT???JUNK YARD?
ok... im little lost on this obd0 obd1 obd2 thing.... ok if i have a 89 crx si that has no engine... but is b series engine ready... what do i need to get? someone said only obd0 will fit in there without changing anything. but if i get a complete engine with engine, tranny, ecu and wiring harness why does it matter if i get a obd0 or obd1 or obd2 engine? if the engine comes with everything wont it all hook up with no problem??? because i was reading that im going to have to change my distributer, wiring harness and injectors and other stuff. is that just if i just get the engine block and not a complete swap??? someone let me know... and let me know if i explained this right. thanksss
If its a first Generation B series engine you can stay OBD0, other than that you have to convert, along with ECU
you have a LOT of searching to do if you expect your car do start, run, and drive when you're done putting in the engine. The kinds of questions you're asking are vital knowledge. I guarantee we'll leave something out when we're trying to explain, since this stuff becomes second knowledge. do a shitload of searching and read tons of threads. that's the only way your car will work. when you get sick of reading the same stuff over and over, read it some more.
i know i have to convert... but why?? if i get a complete engine... like say im getting a obd1 complete engine... then its going to come with the obd1 ecu and all wont it? so why convert?
