There are claims of a 1-2 hp gain by going with the one piece design. The one piece is also cheaper as you have noticed. If you have someone install the headers for you, they will charge you a little extra to put in the one piece because they usually say that procedure is "harder". I'd just get the one piece design if I were you. If you're gonna install it yourself, I'm sure that you'll find no difficulty in doing so. I made the mistake of paying for my install. Quality should be the same either way IMO.

I think most people opt for the jdm or other brand headers. I'm not really sure why though. Maybe they actually flow better than dc.

i dont have any complaints abotu my 4-1 DC...
as for it being single piece, it IS harder to install, but it IS lighter than the 2 piece version

the one piece was a BITCH- to install but it was well worth it. i have no complaints about my DC 4-1's noticeable gain in torque etc etc. wtf is with the JDM headers? ive been away from the teg scene for a few months, when i left DC was king. what happened?

when installing the headers make sure you pull the gasket out of the old headers and put it into the new!! also, pick up a tube of antiseize to coat the bolts with when putting them back on.

save urself the trouble, get the 2 piece its soo much easier to install.
ohyeah, a long time ago in the issue of HONDA TUNING
they had the header test, and the DC Sports 4-2-1 (2pc.) made 6-8hp
tested outta the comptech, gredddy, DC 4-1 ect...

but now adays, people get better headers, like JDM ITR 4-1's, Spoons, Mugens ect....
