Which Struts Are Better?????
I'm looking At Getting Some Struts For My 94 Accord, I don't know much about it, I'm looking at Tokico, Are Adjustable Better, Gas Shocks, Coil Over???? Somebody Give Me Some Info.
depends on what you are in it for--looks, performance etc. I am putting KYB GR-2s on friday, some like coilovers for ride height adjustablilty. adjustable struts are nice for autocrossing, for a firmer ride etc. personal choice really
I agree it depends on what you want to finish with..you could do coilovers with adjustable struts and that would give you options on ride height but the ride quality would go down compared to just springs with adjustable struts..Are you going to be just daily driving>?
Yeah I'm Going To Driving This Car Everyday, I'm Not Looking For Crazy Performance, My Stock Struts Are Almost gone, So i wanna put some performance struts on, wanna have good handling, but i don't wanna spend all that much, Saving up for an H22
I would go with some h&r or eibachs for springs and either koni or kyb's ...check out http://www.shox.com they have decent prices or browse through ebay or h-t classifieds 90-97 should all be the same
. Good luck and welcome to h-t

I'm Going to Put Some Tokico Struts On (The Non-Adjustable Ones) Does My Car Have Stock Springs Or Not At All? I'm really new to all this. Are the Struts going to make a difference???
For price point kyb gr-2's are not all that bad. Tokico makes a decent strut too. I personally use and love koni yellows and custom ground control coilovers. Ride and handle great.
Oh yeah I forgot I can edit my own title! Yay!

Okay I'm a bit confused. Are shocks and struts interchangeable in terms of definitions?? First I've seen anyone refer to shocks as struts. Or maybe I'm just confused.

I was going to redo my suspension with Bilstein. Does anyone have a beef with them?? I thought they were pretty reputable and I dont really need to drag or do autocross.
Thanks

I had cheap coil overs and the ride quality was not that good. I was in the process of putting some 5 way illuminas on, which would make the ride a little better but my car is totaled now so that won't be happening. I was also in it to make my car as low as possible.

does anyone here have kyg gr2's?
As for the Kyb Agx, I've had them for two years and they still run good. Not as comfortable as the stock ride, but I can't complain.

bilstein are very good struts from what i hear....my pops has them on his heavy duty deisel ****** truck and they ride great....but they might be called shocks now if they are on a truck!

they will blow quickly. I had pro kits on my 92 accord with stock shocks and they blew within a week.

Did you try taking a dip at like 90 or something? I had pro kit and stock shocks for almost a year before I didn't see a dip and hit it going about 50. Otherwise my stock shocks would've lasted for quite some time.

well, it's probably because my stock shocks had about 100k miles on them, and they were already worn out to begin with....other than that I drive normally.
