Thats kinda confusing, j1 is a jdm tranny(I thought), but you said ls teg, so that makes me think its usdm. I would only use a usdm teg tranny for a turbo application due to the longer gears. Get the lsd y1.

The jdm j1 is a good tranny too, its short gears, so, quick acceleration. But you are at like 4K at 65 mph in 5th gear. Ryan

I see, yeah I would guess its a jdm teg he is refering to. That makes more sence. Thats the tranny I have, I like it, but I want to do the usdm teg 5th gear swap because it has a better cruzing rpm for highway driving. Ryan

A J1 cable tranny is a JDM 90-91 integra tranny.

I would say pick which ever one has the tranny (including synchros) in the best shape and buy that one, then install a quaffe diff.!
