just got it yesterday and it is awesome. it has so much info on the car and how to do everything. but still some unanswered questions...

1. it says that when i drop the tranny that i need to have an engine hoist to hold the motor in place, is this true? and where the hell can i borrow an engine hoist?

2. when converting to a semi-manual steering rack which lines am i supposed to loop A,B,C, or D and do i just leave the rest? the lines i believe are made of metal do i just cut through them (using what?) or is there a place on the line where i dont need to cut? when looping the VSS do i do it to both sides (tranny and rack) or what? do i put PS fluid in?

3. this is a stupid question but... when looking at the car from the front what is that sideways U shaped thing that is to the left of the signal on the right and in front of the AC condesor?

I wouldn't... there is no valid point in doing so and would only hurt the system.

 

and back to number 2... on page 17-106 it shows the 4 lines coming from the valve body unit which lines do i loop and what do i do with the rest?
