Can someone tell me how to shut off the maintenance required light on an '01 civic?

 

theres a button under the driver side dash close to the center console. you have to push and hold it for like 5 or 15 seconds or some **** like that. i may be way off but at least thats what i remember. give it a try and tell me how wrong i am.

 

There's a button on a panel in front of the passenger area. Rotating or pulling it will open the panel. Inside should be an "owner's manual" that describes the proceedure to reset the light, and more importantly, what it means.
