7500 RPMs is probably an automatic ECU, is his check engine light on, glad to hear about the fuel pump ?

i said new f/p so people wouldnt say its the prob. but now it wont go into vtec so there is a prob and there is no CEL auto ecu wouldnt cause it to get worse and worse its like there isnt enough fuel supply for when the vtec kicks.

Getting worse and worse isn't very descriptive. Have you tested anything yet? Does your RPM activated switch change over your fuel and ignition maps too?

RUN ON SENTANCE, because you dont use punctuation I am left to assume your reving the **** out of your car just to hit vtec. vtec only engages while driving.

again, you now make it sound like during a burn out it will engage, but while reving it wont.

You failed to mention an RPM switch, we were left to assume stock b16a. But are you talking about your car or your friends. If your talking about yours, stop trying to be right about everything ~ because you apparently cant fix the problem yourself on your friends car.
If your friend has the RPM switch, tell us what other mods have been done, especially electronically.

OK ill try again sorry.....When we first did his swap he didnt have vtec hooked up. We then took it for a test drive and it would not go past 7500 while driving. So after he got vtec hooked up we went for another test drive and vtec engaged but then it would not go past 6500 well after driving it more the car just sputters where it supposed to go into vtec.

How did you wire the O2 sensors? make sure you run both, and they arent switched.

It's one of the constants. You have to be going at around 15mph, have a high enough oil pressure, and you must be at the correct RPM, as well as have a warm enough motor.

There were many cases where my friends 99 sir or integra type r or 2001 preludes all engaged vtec when just revving. they had to rev past 5K for it to engage.. i dont believe that you have to me "in motion" for it to engage.
Watch some drag racing... (if there is any races goin on late at night in your area), lots of kids drop the clutch at over 5K... while they are "in vtec"... there is a distinctive sound that im sure you all know, and you can hear it before the actually drop the clutch

anyways, im making this too long. if im wrong, what ever.

Thats why it needs a VSS signal to trigger the car is moving. No signal amoung a few others and no Vtec.
