clueless about bikes
am kinda new to motorcycles. so i have no idea wats a good price for a bike. the bike am lookin at is the honda cbr 600rr. can anyone tell wats a good prices for a used one. so i dont get ripped off. thanks
go to kbb.com go under motorcycles and then its pretty simple from there....
as for a straight answer 600rr is what 8,xxx from the dealer, i figure knock 800 bucks off each year old it is and you should be in the right area... considering it has about 2000 miles a year taken off each year it was in use.
for all mods i say give em 1/3 of whatever the mod was worth (w/o installation)
i say all this ^ referring to a bike that has NEVER been on the ground wether slid, crashed, or dropped.
do all this and you should be in the "ball park"

sounds like this is your first bike. if so, i'd reccomend getting older bike and using extra money for protective gear. unless you are still growing.... get some nice stuff, you probably wont grow out of it, and it'll save your hide

oh god deffinetly! wow im so glad you said that
and if i were you i would go with the leather ALL THE TIME! PERIOD.
textile jackets are nice and cool on those hot days but if you plan on rideing aggressive at all then your going to wish you had leather, when you go down your first time. dont cut the corner with textile gear to save cost the first time, spend the extra cash and get leather..... to justify the extra money just think....
600-800 bucks worth of leather pants and a leather jacket is way way better than the THOUSANDS you would have to pay for skin grafts!
jsut respect your bike and yourself and you should be alright

300z has some good pointers there...get a bike a few years old for sure, cause you WILL put it down....if you have never ridden a bike before its certain you will drop it or someting will happen in a parking lot or soemthing....it will be dissappointing either way but to put down a brand new bike would be tragic...so go with a 97-98 or something you can pickup for like a couple g's....make sure and get nice gear though....don't worry so much about the first bike, their all fast as hell...well...most
