Dynoed my car today
well a shop here got a new dyno, its not a dynojet, instead its a mustang dyno, its numbers are a little lower, but tend to be more accurate, they account for wind resistance, ect ect...i read a few big tech articles on it, anyhow...i decided to run mine before i begin to build it...its a 93 prelude Si with a JDM h22, aem cai, greddy header, apexi N1 exhaust, skunk2 cam gears, and a chipped p28.....got 175.5 hp and 140 tourque ..my tourqe curve was completely flat and steady till redline, power maxed at 7200, but didnt drop much up to 8000, perhaps 5hp..., right before me a 2000 Mustang GT ran on the dyno, it pulled 220hp, , this mustang regularly runs 13.1s...and dynoed 258 on a dynojet.....figuring most articles for converting it..puts my car at 195-200whp on a dynojet...not bad i suppose, best 1/4 et is 13.7 @ 102...there ya go, ill scan the dyno soon..peace
Nice numbers for a stang dyno. But it wouldnt hurt to find out what numbers you can get on a dyno jet. Would make for a better basis of comparison. Since like 95 percent of cars on here get their **** dyno'd on one. Nonetheless nice numbers.

I would give it low 190s like 192ish. It is 10:6 comp.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i never seen it done before. i got 10.6:1 CR too. are these dynos on the net?

I think its just a strong running motor. Alot of compression in the cylinders. Prolly with all the carbon build up its at 11:1, Type S motors have been known to get 190ish stock. So thats how i hold this to be true. He should get a compression test. Compression numbers dont lie. Whats yours like?
Do you also higly doubt my full bodied lude with its stock internal motor runs 13s as well? its proven its power on the track and the dyno..btw i ran it twice on a dynojet and it pulled 196.9 and 198.8, but i never got my rpintouts it wouldnt print, but the runs were free...the stang dyno i was told uses conversions to account for aerodynamic drag and other factors, i read the article but cant quite remeber it, my freinds civic Si put down 130 and 94 and he runs 14.8 in it, it has I/H E only...everyone there was surprised with my numbers...peace
lets not get into your timeslip debate
i didnt say i doubted you. i just wanted to see it. ok ok fine, i wanted you to post it in my sig.
but i have no idea what my compression numbers are like, but thanks ill think ill get them tested.
didnt you also have a VAFC? i thought you had that in your sig awhile back. just curious if you had that tuned, thats all.

i sold my VAFC over a year ago...never needed it, it was never tuned on any runs, my ecu is chipped perfectly for my setup...anywho..theres my numbers...just sharing..peace
Uh oh, dont throw those old dyno numbers out there because you know that your nitrous was sprayin on those runs. Dont make me dig up the old post, lol.
Anyways....decent numbers. That is what a mint condition JDM H22 should lay down in my book.

175 hp on a mustang dyno sounds about right. you can compare your results to some on http://importreview.com

it was P2T4, and i remember discussion about his qtr mile time being related to his tranny.

show me another lude that put down 175 whp on a mustang dyno. the dyno's on importreview, i believe, are not on a mustang dyno.

as far as my research, this is the highest power i have seen with such few mods.

You are not the first to call BS and if I remember correctly he proved himself to another member on Superhonda.com.

You cannot compare Mustang GT to a prelude. I have 99 gt and it will kill my lude any day of the week.. Rear wheel drive and good launch. FWD cars sucks for drag racing. Sorry but I say your car at best is a high 14 sec car. Just my 02 cents

I dont understand how wind resistance can be a factor in the measure of an engines' power output; anyone wanna explain this to me?
