Energy Suspension
I am a proud new owner of a 93 VTEC Prelude (traded my accord) and have been searching for threads on Energy Suspension bushings. I have come accross a couple threads that deal with the engine mounts, but I wanted to know if they were worth the money on preludes.
In the accord forum there is a mixed bag of opinions on which particular bushings to use. I also wanted to know if the installation was something that required hydraulic press or if it was something that can be done myself at home on jackstands....thanks.

Thanks. I also was wondering if it was worth it to get the bushings for the control arms etc... to get everything replaced, or which?
THanks.

Someone posted in the accord forum that they were squeaky, but then they put some silicone grease on them and it was all good. Any opinions on the prelude?

I don't understand how that would be fun, but in the worst case scenario regrease them. It's not any more difficult than changing your oil.

They do squeak if you don't grease them. I keep a can of silicone spray that I give to my oil change guy to spray them everytime I get my oil changed.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Did you install the master set yourself, or take it to a shop? If you did it yourself, any tips on getting the old ones out? If you took it to a shop, how long, and how much?
THanks.

Getting them out is hard my 92 se-r had a set and i looked for shops to install for a long time and no one wanted to do it so i just ended up having one of the techs at work do it. they used a press to get the old ones out.
I want one for my 5th gen dammit
i could care less about the noise takes a few mins to grease them but the advantages of having them in is night in day, best mod i did for my se-r with that LSD ground contol coilovers and koni shocks and ST sways car road light it was on rails and i did the bushings last and the results was amazing.
on my lude ive got st sways and TEIN HAs and i need a bushing kit any help on companys that make one of info on peiceing one together
