Putting together motor, do I fill around the sleeves with coolant?
I'm putting my B16 back together tonight, and I tipped the motor on a engine stand to dump all the coolant/oil mix out. I was wondering, should I fill the water jackets with coolant BEFORE I put the head on?
Thanks
Thanks
no you dont.......
once you start to fill the rad it will fill the entire engine block up.......no need to fill the sleeves.......

but u will have to bleed the air out. i had a bitch of a time doin this in a cavalier. not sure about the hondas though. basically u just run the engine. and shake the hell outta the car. it shouldnt take long to get all the air out.

Or you can go the smart route and leave the radiator cap off while it's warming up and let the air come out on it's own....
