Default SI spoiler on a teggie

does anyone know if the 1999-2000 OEM civicSI midwing spoiler bolts onto a GSR?
I want to put a SI wing on my GSR but not wish cover existing holes or to drill more holes.
has anyone done that? let me know.

thanks

I don't want to get the R spoiler because
first, as he said, it doesn't fit into the GSR existing holes, that means more drilling.
2nd, the OEM one has no brake light. I need a it for my GSR since it doesn't have the hatch brakelight.
3rd, I could get an aftermarket R wing, but that also mean more drilling.
therefore I was wondering if the SI midwing fit, since it's a honda part.

yes! si spoiler will fit on a gs-r. i think someone from h-a.net had a pic. IMO, it looked alright from the side view but it was way too small from the back view.

Nope, it won't fit exactly. The Si wing is smaller than a regular GSR/Type R wing.

i have seen an integra riding around with a 99-00 civic spoiler. but something to think about....the underside part of the brake light says "civic" on it.

The integra-bros site is down now, permanently, otherwise I'd post up the picture, but there was a pic of a GS-R with an SI spoiler, so it's obviously possible. I'm not too sure if extra holes needed to be drilled or not. You might want to email "ib2" on this board, since he had one of the GS-Rs on the site, and might be able to answer your Q.

A Type R spoiler will not fit into the stock GSR holes....
Wrong. The holes line up perfectly, the only problem is that there is an extra hole for the brake light that remains visible.

so if you get a Type-R spoiler with the third break light, it should covor all the holes up and fit perfectly?

The REAL reason why he doesn't want to buy a Type R spoiler is because he's planning on stealing an SI spoiler off of a Civic.

Don't lie now. I tried to break an SI spoiler off of a Civic SI at a Honda Dealership once, and I cracked it in half. I put my shoulder into it, and fucked up my shoulder for the next week and a half. So, if you plan on stealing one, your best bet would be to unscrew it. Learn from my mistakes.

I have seen it. I have seen the pictures from the integra bros' website.

It fits perfectly, a lot of parts are interchangeable from civics to integras. I was thinking of doing this myself, looks mighty good.

Skafia, does it really fit? I saw some pics of it on a teggie, it looks pretty good.
I just look at comptech's website. I wish I had some more infor on it. But I like the looks of the si midwing. Looks good on a teggie.

thanks for all ur comments.

yeah,,i have the WW type R spoiler,.,,
and the 4 holes that bolt down,,fit perfect,,but there is a lil bit of the 2 bigger holes showing
maybe a lil less then a qtr of a inch'

i dont mind,,cuz i dont drive my teg in the rain,,

im sure u could cut out a bigger piece of rubber,,that goes between the spoiler,,and the hatch
and it will cover it up fine
