About the same when they're both stock.

Bench racing
On subject, the Integra is a lighter chassis, and the B series is, from the standpoint of aftermarket support, an easier engine to work with. If I were going to use an H series engine, then I would definately move it to a lighter chassis. If I were going to use a GSR, then I would leave it and go from there.

Yah it'd be close stock vs. stock....honestly when i drove a prelude vtec, it didnt pick up much. i wasnt impressed. i was expecting more.
But we wont kno for sure till we take it to the track& it depends on the driver as well

which model prelude, the one with the h23 or the H22 vtec??
personally, i think they are about the same. ITs a drivers race.
Prelude has a bigger engine but weights more.

If you are going to buy a prelude...just buy it for the looks...just remember a H22 lacks swappability as in parts wise and is extremely heavy (not like how the B series is swappable between the b16/18/20) . I admit it is great if you throw it in a civic and turbo it for drag...other than that...its a pos...It is not that great of a sports car for any type of events. I own a gsr and it still isnt that great for road racing just because of the weight distribution. but hey...its your decision...
H23 is in the 91-93 prelude SI...well...somewhere around there...early 90's

once again incorrect. the h22 had full bolt-ons and the type-r was stock.
they raced at the track and both had around the 2.20 60' range and the prelude ran consistent 14.7's against the 14.9's of the type-r.
i hardly see the validity in claiming driver error in that type-r. that is a pretty normal time for a 98 type-r.

i would rather have a 5th gen prelude sh over a gsr anyday.
it may be heavier and blah, blah, blah, but it has so much less road noise then a gsr and it just feels a little more solidly built.

are you kidding me? the sh is even SLOWER then the base model. i've owned a 5th gen prelude. i've also driven an ITR, a 5th gen prelude WILL lose. where are the ITR guys, they should read this and laugh.

what's the model with the h22? isn't that the sh?
oh ....i may lose racing the type r, but it'll around LONGER...if you know what i mean...i'm sure you cant deny that...</TD></TR></TABLE>
yes the type sh has the h22a4, but it weighs even more then a base model 5 speed, and they both have the same engine, but the type sh has better suspension, ATTS, supposedly, lots of people hate it cause it's been giving problems like the SS tranny has.

I own both 97 SH and 97 ITR.. the ITR is faster no doubt. Begins to walk in 2nd gear, then *runs* away shortly after.
3000lbs-195hp (Lude)
2500lbs-195hp (ITR)
do the math.
However the 93-96 Vtec Ludes, are not to be underestimated.. they are lighter than the 5th gen, and have shorter gearing. I have the upmost respect for those cars, they are freaks IMO.
They had sub 7 sec 0-60 times (6.6 if I remember correctly), just like the ITR. They are very comparable to the ITR in straight line speed IMO. On paper they shouldn't win, but for some reason it's a very close race.
Now to the subject.. GSR vs. Lude.
Drivers race stock for stock.. But I would rather have the lower curbweight and b-series power plant of the DC.
However the SH Lude is one hell of great handling car out of the box... great to learn w/.
