LMFAO!!- - you'd be better of doing this!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...87008
but to answer your question... i lowered my 90 DA with skunk2 coilovers(stock struts). It took less than a year for one of them to show signs of failure
you can have a nice suspension setup with ~500 dollars!! (skunks or g/c's, paired up with konis or kyb's)

I definately wouldnt have CUT my springs....i woulda just waited and saved and done it right...but hey whatever floats your boat....hope it turns out good.....keep us updated
soo....you have the money to get a paint job, oem wheels, a turbo kit...but you don't want to spend money on a proper suspension?
that would be pretty ricer-ish to me.
always, always take care of the suspension first. it is the key ingredient to having more fun in a teg. hell, any car for that matter.
do the suspension, then do the turbo.
or be cheap like me, do nothing(well, a few things) and enjoy the car.

Cut springs = you will blow your shocks pretty soon, really bad ride
Cut shifter = looks mAd TiTe, but really won't help since the throw is still the same.

yeah i guess ur right about me not doing the suspension before all that major ****...i guess im tryin to get a shortcut ahead...but i know ill f*** more things up that way....ahhhh i hate being cheap
you shouldn't be in a rush. you're just putting money into something that depreciates.
i tend to go against the flow on this board.
i was given 10 grand in an inheritance, i invested in a 30 year high-risk IRA. it'll be worth at least 80 grand in 30 years.
i could have one hell of an integra if i had put that money into the car.
but why invest in something that depreciates instead of something that appreciates.

you're definately in the wrong business if you look at it that way.

you're correct about that. but, i enjoy my car as stock...many people can't. why do i need to be faster? so i can say i'm faster than the guys on honda-tech.com? my car handles well, i take it through the canyons all the time, i enjoy it. i did add a lower-tie bar and thicker rear sway. thats it. i want my car to make it through any weather condition i deem it is worthy of going. i want it to go from utah to washington or texas with no problems. it has before, and it will continue. i invest in maintenance and car care.
ah well....i'm just saying that if you're going to take the cheap route, just save the money. have your finances in order before you spend everything on a car. if you have the money and nothing else to spend on, then upgrade your car. but, do it right the first time.
