Rebuilding D16a6 short block
Can anyone tell me what parts I need?
Crank bearings, rings thats it?
What about putting in oversized pistons? any recommendations, I already have a Z6 head, might as well do more while I have it apart.

here is what i did.
ACL bearings
D16A1 pistons .20 over (you might not want to do that)
stock rods
that about it

overbore does not increase static compression. with a milled A6 head, A1 pistons and A6 block i got about 11.5:1 CR.
for gaskets, get a rebuild kit from any online sources.
i ended up getting cometic head gasket to knock CR down a tad.
my entire set-up if you want.
A6 head, milled a think a thousand. ISKY valvetrain, Rocket cam. ported and polished, GE cam gear, cometic gasket, A1 pistons swaintech coated, ACL bearings.
