Default EG d15b

hey whats goin on i have a 94' civic hatch ok and its a cx with a 5spd tranny and i was wonderin if i had a d15b vtec engine would i need a new tranny? or could i use the one on my car right now?

You could use it, but it really is crap. The D15B transmission or EX/Si would be much better.

yes it would work but your accel wouldnt be near as nice as it would be with an ex/si tranny.

having an EX/Si tranny will drop your timeslips by up to .5 seconds, and when coupled with a D15b it will pull a lot harder than your CX. i would just kick back and wait from some good deals and keep reading stuff, cuz just from the questions youve asked i think you should gather a little more info before you start dropping your money on things the CX tranny will work with that motor, but a ex/si tranny would be a good future mod.
