Default Re: Bore/Stroke Ratio (thawheelman)

rod ratio is the connecting rod length divided by the stroke

example:

b18 rod length - 137mm
Stroke b18b - 89mm

137/89=1.54 rod ratio

ive never heard of bore/stroke ratio

Another useful equation:

Block Deck Height = (Stroke/2) + Rod Length + Compression Height + Stock Deck Clearance

Example: B18B specs

89mm/2 + 137mm + 29.97mm + .762mm = try it and find out.

Default Re: Bore/Stroke Ratio (Honda2nr4life)

bore and stroke ratio decides whether the car is undersquare or oversquare

The new RSX engine is a perfect square (86mm bore x 86mm stroke)
