i own a 94 civic ex auto....


Im getting a 5 speed DX tranny from a 00 civic....... So would it fit or not?


im doing the convertion...i just wanna know if it will fit or not...im getting all the parts i need from this from a crashed up 00 civic....


lol yes i know its not the only thing i can take any part off the DX i want for 250 cash....the girl is rich and is getting a 99 M3 so she could care less about the car.....she said after i take what i need where going to smoke so hahah i win both ways HAHA


why cant i use the clutch adbaly (sorry bad spelling) from the 00 civic?

yes that tranny will work but you will need a pedal assembly from a 92-95, the clutch master cylinder and the line running to the tranny. you will also need to buy a new bracket that the tranny mount bolts to and have it welded into the engine bay (part # 60831-SR3-300ZZ) that can be found at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. otherwise place racing makes a different tranny mount but it is like $150 as opposed the getting that new bracket for $30. you will also need a sohc flywheel and clutch obviously. that should get you off to a good start also the DX tranny is a step down from a manual EX trans, just so yah know.

i have a 99 civic ex auto as well i found a 99 dx trans for my convertion will the throttle body work from this model for the convertion

 

At first I was like "didn't place racing go out of business like 6 years ago?" then I saw the date.

You will need a '99 - '00 5 speed EX intake manifold, and possibly throttlebody (try to get them from a '99 - '00 As '99 - '00 models have air injection and '96 - '98 don't.
