Anyone get any work done by www.portflow.com
Has anyone here heard of or know anyone that got work done by Portflow. I want to get my heads worked on and I was recommended by a friend to Portflow. They have a standard Honda headwork for $750 and it includes the following:
disassemble/ clean/ inspection
port & polish
multi-angle radius valve job
deshroud valve area in chamber
polish chambers
surface or mill to customer spec
assembly http://www.portflow.com/product.htm
Apparently http://www.jdmhondaparts.com is one of their clients and they have Portflow headwork on B series going for $1100. Here's what's included:
Port Flow Design
Head Packages
B-series race heads includes these components/work:
• port flow titanium retainers
• port flow valve springs
• port & polish
• multi- angle valve job
• new valve stem
• surface or mill to customer spec
• disassemble, clean, inspection,-re-assembly
Only difference I see is that Portflow doesn't list the parts like JDMhondaparts, that could be why the price difference.

Yeah, the basic port and polish stuff is $750, but if you upgrade the valve train that is where the difference of money is. But if you are really thinking of doing this, just have Portflow use the Ferrea Valve train. If I am not mistaken it brings the total to $1450, but well worth it. I haven't had work done there, but I do have a Ferrea Valve train. My Brother in Law had his head done there and he loves it! He has a GSR swap into a Civic, he has done pretty much an all motor application. He is in the process of getting his exhaust custom made, but he went to the track this weekend and ran a 13.31 @101. His car is untuned, and factory exhaust, well the headers are Greddy. He said he could tell a big difference after the head work was done.
