I have an oppurtunity to pick up a DOM Autpower Race Roll Bar for my Civic coupe. However it does not have the full width harness bar. Will an aftermarket harness bar (Speedware) work in this application, considering that most harness bars bolt up to the B-pillar, the same place where the hoop is on an Autopower roll bar??
I am questioning as to whether there will be interference, or not.

Correct me if I"m wrong, but doesn't the "race roll bar" imply a harness bar and a main hoop cross brace? I thought only the street bar was missing the harness bar. Anyway, you could easily weld in a harness bar for much cheaper than the average bolt-in harness bar. That would be the way to go.

The Autopower roll bar I am looking has the diagonal bar and the single bar behind the driver. I think that the "race" bar includes the diagonal, with the harness bar being an option.
I assume that I should have my race shop use the same diameter and thickness tubing for the harness bar.

Yes, should be same material. Autopower uses standard diameter tubing, so any race-car fab shop should be able to whip you up a harness bar in a few hours.
But, unless you are getting a fantastic deal on the used bar, you'd be better off just getting it with the harness bar in place.

~$330 shipped w/ diagonal, bolts, backing plates, etc. Plus I have connections at my race shop, so it shouldn't be too much for the fabbing of the HB.

In that case, go for it.
